15 Photoshoot Ideas For Toddlers
Want to have cute memories of your little ones? here are adorable photoshoot ideas for toddlers.
One of the best parts of my job as an event coordinator is organizing toddler photoshoots.
The entire session can be sweet and fun, when the toddler cries less, never drops a tear at all or when they are all happy and playing in their own way.
But it can be tussle and you wish to cry with them when they decide not to stay at a place or even worse cry, irrespective of everything done to pacify them.
MY STORY WITH A TODDLER
Way before I became an event coordinator, my sister’s 1st child was on a set for her one year photo shoot.
I was at home trying to get at least 5 minutes of sleep when my sister called and asked me to quickly come to the location, she complained her baby wouldn’t stop crying and they are yet to take even a single good picture.
I took off immediately, and truly she was crying and sweating at the same time when I arrived. I carried her and gave her some goodies I bought on my way to the location.
She slept for a little while and when she woke up, we kicked off with taking the pictures.
We used bubbles, balloons, and plenty of cartoon characters. We captured her daughter’s personality in every pose, from silly faces to her adorable smiles to her chasing a pink balloon (which is her favorite color).
If told, no one would ever believe the same toddler almost cried out her eyes moments ago.
That session made me realize how unique these photo shoots are. A toddler photoshoot is more than just cute pictures, it’s about capturing the entire essence of their being.
If you’re planning to capture your little one, here are 15 fun and adorable photoshoot ideas for toddlers.
1. Bubble Wonderland
Bubbles are magical for toddlers. I still remember one bubble emitting item, I gave to my toddler Jesse. The joy on his face when the bubbles came out and disappeared into thin air, still gladdens my heart.
If you want to achieve this wonder, set up an easy outdoor or indoor scene using a bubble machine and let your child play and have fun.
The happy expressions and grin on their face while running around after bubbles produce wonderful action pictures full of smiles. You should try this.
2. Birthday Bash Theme
A birthday-themed is another photoshoot idea for toddlers. Use balloons, cake, and birthday hats.
Supposedly it is their first or fourth birthday, this setup is a special milestone. Cake smashes are especially fun and trendy for toddler photoshoots.
And they usually smash the cake unconsciously.
3. Teddy Bear Picnic
This is specially for my little girls that love teddy bears.
Bring their favorite toddler’s stuffed animals to life, place a blanket, toy tea cups, and snacks and have them enjoy a teddy bear picnic. While doing some random activities that you can capture.
This is a great outdoor activity that can be done in a garden or park and it looks adorable in photos.
4. Mini Chef in the Kitchen
Jesse always loved me to carry him on my back whenever I am doing house chores, especially cooking.
I figured out he loved food a lot, and he enjoyed being part of the cooking process, irrespective of the fact that he contributed nothing but look around and stayed quiet.
On his 3rd year birthday, I did Chef in the kitchen birthday theme for him and he loved it.
If you want to set this up, turn your kitchen into your toddler’s cooking studio. Give your child a chef hat, stir bowls, or roll out dough.
This setup takes cute, messy fun and curiosity seriously. Just make sure the environment is safe and the mess can be contained and easy to clean up faster.
